Welcome to Sustainfully You

I help changemakers increase their impact, improve their health and wellbeing to identify actions and create ripple effects for a healthier planet, bringing together sustainability and mindfulness strategies

“Sustainfully You”

Bridging sustainability and mindfulness to enhance your impact and unlock what’s ‘fully you’.

Whether that’s in your career, your team, organisation and/or for your wellbeing – together, we’ll identify the tools that positively impact the health of the planet.

Combining all the areas I’ve worked in and that I’m passionate about has made me realise how much we can drive change, if we try to understand the complex system(s) we live in and acknowledge that every action has an impact.

While learning is important in change, the concept of unlearning is equally, if not more important.

I truly believe that living systems are communicating with us, if we are willing to listen – whether that’s the planet, our mind and bodies, the organisation(s) we work in.

When we stop, take the time to listen, ask questions, are willing to take small as well as radical steps, as appropriate, and not assume a ‘one size fits all’, I believe we can see positive change happen.

There are some things that are out of our control but there are plenty of things within our control. We are much more the architects than we are made to believe – individually and collectively.  All of us can be changemakers.

You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.

That is what “Sustainfully you” is about.

Changemaker services

Becoming aware of our behaviours and thought patterns, paying attention to where we are in this moment and what is going on for us, we can make better, healthier and more conscious choices for us as individuals, our teams, our organisations, our society – and most importantly, the planet.

I will support you in your own journey or that of your team or organisation, offering tools, different thinking, and experience to help you set your change goals and successfully implement them.

Client testimonial
"These last few sessions have really made me think about my career and provided some tools/exercises that I should implement to solidify the outputs from our sessions so I have better outcomes. It’s like therapy but for work related aspects which really does help to see situations from a different perspective and talk through difficult things."

"Coaching came at a critical time for me whilst I was exiting one job and starting a new one. The sessions with May have helped me be in the right frame of mind just before I started my new job and first week. I was able to open up as a safe space was created for me to freely discuss my concerns around the conversations I may have with my employer due to my dyslexia.

Goals were set at the start of each session and were reflected back at the end to ensure we have fully covered the goals set at the start of the session. I found this structure to be very helpful.

May has helped me run through possible scenarios to help me prepare."

Collaboration testimonial
"May is a wonderful mindfulness and meditation teacher. I can say, having been guided by her on a number of occasions, that she has a rare gift for facilitating deep learning with great ease and compassion. Not only have I experienced May’s beautiful and transformative meditations, but her rich knowledge of how to apply mindfulness more generally in daily life has been of immense benefit to me. Mindfulness and meditation might seem daunting or confusing for those who are new to the practice, but May is able to make it simple and accessible, no matter your level of experience. I have had the pleasure of getting to know May and I’ve been struck by the extent to which she walks the talk. Like all great teachers, she is committed to her own practice and ongoing development, and this really does come across as she shares insights from her exceptional experience and wisdom with such generosity and authenticity. I have no hesitation is recommending May to anyone looking to improve the quality of their life with mindfulness. I am better for having learned from her and I am certain anyone would be the same."

"I can't believe how fast the course went by. I was afraid at first of this two months commitment, but now when it's over, I'm actually sad and in disbelief it's been two months. It was such a safe space once a week, a group where we could share honestly, authentically and be our vulnerable selves. We learnt so much and practicing together was such an enriching experience for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping me to become a more mindful version of myself."

"Immensely helpful process during which I have gained a deeper appreciation and insight of the key values and facets that really matter to me in a role and at workplace culture. May has provided a great empathetic container to explore new territories, and also those areas that have been known to me but shed new light. I liked how she has probed and challenged me as appropriate and also offered new interpretations of the situation by reflecting back what she has heard, reacting to what is and also what isn’t being said, going with the emotional flow, while maintaining a loose structure to help moving towards my coaching objectives. May’s sessions have been tremendously helpful for me, thank you for the opportunity."

"What I have found the most helpful is learning how to take a conscious step back/pause, observe what is happening and the impact it has on me. I would definitely recommend the MBSR course!"

Client testimonial
"I have recently finished workplace coaching sessions with May. I had very little knowledge about the purpose of workplace coaching and was doubtful it would be beneficial however my opinion changed during my initial session. May provided a safe environment that allowed me to be vulnerable and discuss my difficulties without fear of judgment or repercussions.

Being neurodivergent this is something that has been particularly difficult for me and led to unhealthy coping strategies. During our sessions we explored various strategies to help me communicate with my manager and colleagues. These strategies often challenged my behaviour and made me consider the way I communicate. If I wasn’t comfortable with a strategy or found it hard to implement May was happy to discuss this further to aid my understanding or explore other options until we found a solution.

May has helped me advocate for myself and to communicate in a constructive way, removing barriers and creating a better working environment for myself and colleagues.
While I only had 5 sessions, I feel more confident with my ability to communicate which has had a positive impact on both my work and home life."

"I really feel as if I have a lot more tools in my toolkit after our sessions, I felt like your listening and comprehension skills were incredibly good which made it very easy for me to get the most out of the coaching. Me venting an entire catalogue of problems and ideas and then you picking out the best ones to work with couldn’t have been a better approach to this sort of thing, as that’s the easiest way for me to be engaged and get as much of my point across as I can. It was very easy to create a rapport with you which also made it easy for me to open up straight off the bat. I think you are very knowledgeable in a whole host of areas which was useful considering my problems and perceptions traverse a wide plain of subjects.

From this I will spend more time planning and contemplating alternate routes before I decide to make any decision and also take a look at the triggers which set off the self-destructive thought patterns which pull me away from rational thinking.

I have learned a lot and I really enjoyed our conversations."
